1 / Service Mind

Working at the front desk allowed me to deal with different kinds of people and how to satisfy our guests which developed my service skills.

2 / Problem Solving

At the front desk, I have to deal with many problems that our guests have, and helping them is one of the responsibilities that I hold. Thus, this greatly develops my problem-solving skill.

3 / How to put on bed sheets flawlessly.

Another position that I have to do during this internship is to work with housemaids. I have to put on 10-20 bed sheets in a day and that helps me learn how to put on a perfect bed sheet.

The Full Story

Once Again Hostel is a small hostel in the middle of Bangkok. I joined the crew as an intern to improve my English skill but the experience at this hostel taught me a lot more. The owner of this Hotel (Sanon) builds this hotel to cooperate with the local community nearby. For example, if the guest wanted to do laundry the service provided in this hostel is cooperating with a local own laundry service. Moreover, the tour that this hostel provides is mostly going to local shops. My job as an intern is to be a host at the front desk and my job is to inform the service that we have, suggest the best Experience for tourists if they asked for it, bring laundry to the local lady, bring the guest to their room, and most importantly help guests find the best solution for their problems. Therefore, being an intern at once again hostel it greatly improve my problem-solving skills, service mind, and ability to connect to other people.
