What Skill I Have Learned

1 / Communication

In this program, we have to cooperate with local university students. These students barely speak English which is difficult for us to communicate therefore we have to use the ultimate technology and skill to communicate with them (Google Translate and Hand language).

2 / Open mind

One of the goals of this program is to exchange culture and I have to be open-minded in order to exchange culture.

3 / Creativity

One task that we have to do is to think about how to alter the tree bark which is the local production and how to create it into something that they can use we also visit the dying clothing street and they ask us to come up with way to save this street.

The Full Story

I have join Dalaa spontaneously because my friend invited me. Dalaa is a aboard voluntary program. I spend a week in a small local community named Luliao in Taichung city. This is a short program which tasks us to do the cultural exchange with locals allows them to learn about other countries culture and also for us to learn about the local cultures.
